The spring has sprung and your gardens and our streets and hills are full of the most wonderful colors! Yet there is still more to come. That's what always fascinates me...more to come...suddenly. Yesterday I was rocking in my chair on the porch when the little (previously unidentified) bird who lives in the bird nest on top of my mop appeared and after checking for danger went right in. she is precious. Long beak, dusty brown and a whitish belly. The beak fascinated me as she was holding just one rather large piece of bird food taken from my neighbor's wonderful selection. I didn't hear any chirping or see any tiny heads popping out. Perhaps they've already flown the coop?
I am sooooooooo happy to hear that the LIBRARY is finally going to open again...with a new staff yet to be identified as this goes to press. Oh my, the changes and the hopes the library board has for us. What a blessing. The wider we read, or listen, or compute, the more able we are to appreciate the very vast world out there and to explore, even here in our (by comparison) tiny towns/county. The good news, however, is that small is beautiful and excellence can be gleaned in any place we are and any endeavor we choose.
It's like dancing, if one does. No matter the style or the pace, there is an elegance about dancing. Gliding, hopping, stomping, seeking, hugging and even dropping...among other things , draws us into another layer of energy and bliss. A wonderful Sufi poet, Hafiz, writes:
'Not the God of names,
Not the God of don'ts,
Nor the God who ever does
Anything weird,
But the God who only knows four words
And keeps repeating them, saying:
COME AND DANCE WITH ME.'
Keep dancing is this glorious season and if things aren't going very well, expect the God of dancing to be there to hold you closer!
EASTER BLESSINGS.
