Most Beautiful Word
Should you be asked what is the most beautiful word that you have ever heard. Food: chocolate pie, banana pudding, strawberry cake, thanksgiving, Christmas, family, grandchildren, etc. Money, new vehicle, new clothes, mother, dad. The above can draw our lives away from the most important word for our happiness, peace, joy for eternity. This big happy word is found in the following sentence. See if you can find it. Revelation 1:5 Unto Jesus that loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood. Love and Jesus is the same. 1John 4:8 God is Love. Try Jesus He is love. Love is the answer.

Concerns over the At Home edition
This is regarding the At Home in Winston County, MS magazine 2019-2020, which was inserted in the Winston County Journal on October 23, 2019. It is a beautiful informative magazine which is used by many visitors and businesses who are interested in our county. However, many of us were disappointed and actually insulted that you did not include Dean Park as one of the beautiful sites in the County at which many events are held there throughout the year, e.g., reunions of all kind, class meetings, beautification days, revivals, parties, and garden education classes just to name a few. We don't quite understand its absence in At Home in Winston County, MS since it is the only park that is managed by Winston County Board of Supervisors. You listed Ivy Park as the city park, (but not Academy Park), the Nanih Waiya Community park, Legion State Park but not our historical Dean Park which has been restored to beauty by The Board of Supervisors, the Dean Park Commission and the Friends of Dean Park, Inc. For nearly 12 years, the Friends of Dean Park, Inc, has invested many volunteer hours, many dollars into Dean Park and continue to do so. Also, you listed events not to miss in the county but did not list Juneteenth Day Festival which has been sponsored by the Winston County Voters and Education League of Winston County for over 20 years. Class reunion and family reunion committees use this magazine to plan tours, many would question that Dean Park, Academy Park and Juneteenth Day Festival were not included. To rectify this gross error, it is suggested that an additional page be composed and inserted in the remaining At Home in Winston County, MS magazines. Thank you so much for your consideration and public apology.

Editor’s note: We apologize for error of cutting the Dean Park information in our efforts to get all we could in the 28 page magazine we cut almost 12 pages of information among that information and photographs were: Dean Park, Strand Theatre, Academy Park, Taylor Group, Low property tax of the county in relation to some other counties and other states, importance of historic preservation with a nod to the new Mason Hotel, City of Louisville new industrial footprint and offerings, and a list of historic businesses in the community including Winston Furniture Company, Winston County Journal and the Taylor Group. Importance nor reason were used in cutting of the information. I, Joseph McCain, cut the information to fit to the design and layout of the specific page.
