Ramblin with Arlene
Praise the Lord everyone. I’m so glad to know that I’m a part of the kingdom of God. I know that God loves me and wants me to be busy doing his will. Have you ever just got down to business and asked God to show you what his will is for you? I mean sincerely praying and asking and believing that God is going to answer. But let me tell you this, when you ask you better be ready to accept the call. If you don’t you will never be truly happy. It’s nothing to play around with. God is getting ready to come back after his bride. He’s been waiting a long time. He’s given us all more than plenty of time to make ourselves ready. So it we don’t make it in the rapture we’ll have anyone but ourselves to blame.
I think of all the families I know who never darken the doors of a church and never see that their children are carried to church. It breaks my heart. I’ve baby-sat children for 42 years and have seen some pitiful situations. I’ve had children beg their parents to let us take them to church and they would not let them. I just can’t imagine!! But folks there are coming a time when God is going to throw in the towel and say, “I’m done.” When the time of repentance is gone, if we haven’t made ourselves ready, it will be too late. If we don’t make it in the rapture, we will know suffering like we have never known before. God help us! Wake up people! It’s getting close to the midnight hour. Don’t let the devil cause you to lose out with God. Nothing he can offer is worth losing out for. The devil knows he is lost forever and he’s mad.
I just felt to stop what I was doing and write this article while God was speaking to me and through my hands. Jesus loves us and wants us to be in Heaven with him forever. I am so looking forward. I thank God for everything he has done for family, friends, and me. Please don’t hesitate to call me or write me if you need to talk to someone. I extend an open invitation to anyone who would like to visit our church, River of Life, on the corner of Red Street and McCully Ave. It’s right down behind Bulldog cleaners in Louisville, MS. God bless you all. May God’s richest blessings be upon you. Call me at 662-724-4691 or write me at 40 West Alice St., Noxapater, MS 39346. If God were not speaking to you, he wouldn’t have spoken this to me first. With love in Christ,
Arlene Barrett.
