Rambling with Mrs. Arlene Praise the Lord everyone. It’s so good to be alive and to be serving a God that I know and believe has control of what’s going on in our world today. So many things are going on. The devil is at work full speed. He intends to destroy the United States of America, but I say to you today, Satan will blind you every way he can. He needs to win this time. He knows that time is getting short and he’s giving it his best shot to get in control. But, thank goodness I can truly say I know and believe, he will never out do my God. Before I go any further, I want to give honor and thanks to my granddaughter, Emerald DeNae Barrett, for making it possible to get these articles to the paper. She lives in Alabama and I call her and read the article to her and she types it and sends it in. She’s a veterinarian and a very busy woman. God didn’t make me that smart, but like me she knows how important it is to get the words he speaks to me out to his people. In our church last week through tongues and interpretations, God spoke and said our world is in danger and coming fast to an end, unless the people who he created turns back to him and makes a change in the way they are living. Have you ever known a family who raised their children and they grew up and slowly moved away from their parents and treated them like they never existed? Well just imagine how God feels?? Very soon we have all got to go to the polls and vote for one of two candidates on who will lead this country. God wants us to start praying now like we never have before to seek his face and ask him to guide our hearts and hands as we go to the polls. He will hear your prayers if you are sincere. This election may decide what the time we have left on this Earth will be like. Please let this be a priority with you. I promise you this is what God gave me to write. Just like I’m not smart enough to type this and send it, I also can’t write it without God’s help. So please pray much about who to vote for. I love you all and hope you have a good week. Call me at 662-803-4690 or write me at 40 West Alice Street, Noxpater, MS 39346. I would love to hear from you. May God bless you all. Thank you Mrs. Taylor for your sweet post. It was very encouraging. Arlene Barrett Voting for Initiative 65 More than 3.5 million patients are successfully using medical marijuana to treat debilitating conditions in 34 other states. That’s right, 34 other states have regulated medical marijuana programs, but the Mississippi Legislature has blocked more than 20 proposed bills to pass medical marijuana legislatively. Qualified patients in Mississippi deserve to have the same access as patients in 34 other states, including Louisiana, Florida, and Arkansas. Initiative 65 gives doctors the ability to certify patients here in Mississippi who suffer from 22 specific listed conditions, including cancer, seizures, chronic pain, and PTSD, to try medical marijuana as an alternative treatment option. Alternative 65A places the power in the hands of politicians, not doctors, to decide which patients will be eligible for medical marijuana and does not include a list of qualifying conditions. Please join me in voting for Initiative 65 (not Alternative 65A) on November 3rd. For more information, www.medicalmarijuana2020.com. Linda Kay Chandler
