Rambling with Arlene and Emerald
“Food for Thought”
Praise the Lord everyone. I hope you all had a good week. We sure did. I got a lot of work done, and I thank the Lord for that. This weekend my granddaughter who lives on the coast brought our great-grandchildren and we had a birthday party with some of our other grandchildren and great grandchildren for our youngest, 1 year old great-grandchild. His name is Levi James Bragg. He’s a beautiful little boy and we are so proud of him. We had a wonderful time. I wish all the other grandchildren and great-grandchildren could have been here. But, God is so good and everyone had a great time with plenty of food and wonderful time just talking and catching up with each other.
Have you ever thought about how much time we let come and go and we haven’t been to see our moms and dads, children, or other relatives? Sometimes we just get so busy and get so much on our mind it seems to take priority over everything else. We should never fail to be there for our families and friends. Even people we don’t really know may need a helping hand from time to time. It never hurts to take a few minutes and search ourselves to see if we are doing right.
Have you ever thought about how we treat our God? I know it takes time to go to work and come home and then have to cook meals, wash clothes, clean the kitchen, and so much more. However, if we would put our God first and talk to him every morning when we wake up and ask him to direct us in the way we should go, you’d be surprised at how much better things would work out. I’ve made a promise to myself that I'm going to spend more time reading and studying the Bible. I want to know all about my God and what he wants me to do. I love him so much and even though I still can’t walk, I know one day he’ll heal my legs and one day I’ll be able to walk like everyone else. He’s a good God and loves us.
Well I’ve got to go for now. Emerald and I wish the best for all of our readers. We hope you will all think about God and how good he is to us. Also, you will remember your parents. They can be here today and gone tomorrow as well as your other relatives and friends. This is something to think about!!! We hope to be back next week. May God bless you all. Call me at 662-803-4690 or write to me at 40 West Alice Street, Noxapater, MS 39346. Thank you for all the cards and letters. May God bless and keep us all safe.
Love, Arlene and Emerald.
