Having to look up the substance called Kratom it didn’t take very long of researching from the CDC, and the FDA to realize this could be a very dangerous substance that acts like a painkiller and can trigger addiction.
The FDA recommends consumers not use Kratom or it’s essential oils.
The Drug Enforcement Administration has identified Kratom as a drug of concern.
The CDC has linked more than 150 overdose deaths to Kratom use.
During 2011-2017 the National Poison Center reported 1,807 calls concerning exposure to Kratom.
I too suffer a lot from chronic pain due to arthritis but let’s face it. There is a lot of research needed on this substance.
What has been done is so negative about the substance I don’t know why the supervisors are hesitant to ban this in Choctaw county.
I also find it appalling that a local business owner would choose to sell this product while knowing the potential for the harm it could cause.
Ban Kratom supervisors!
