PUBLIC NOTICE
OF INVITATION FOR BIDS
FOR HUNTING AND FISHING RIGHTS
Notice is hereby given by the Board of Education of the Webster County School District that sealed bids will be received by said Board until 10:00 A.M. on the 20th day of July, 2020, in the office of the Superintendent of Education of the Webster County School District, located at 95 Clark Avenue, Eupora, MS 39744, for a lease of hunting and fishing rights on the following described Sixteenth Section Public School Trust Lands situated in Webster County, Mississippi, to-wit:
Section 16, Township 20N, Range 8E approximately 643 acres
Bids submitted will be opened at 10:00 A.M., or as soon thereafter as conveniently possible, on the 20th day of July, 2020. The lease shall be for a term of three (3) years. The form of the lease has been prescribed by the Board of Education and is now on file in the Office of the Superintendent of Education, and interested parties may inspect the same during regular office hours. A MINIMUM BID OF $4.00 PER ACRE HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED. LESSEE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PAYMENT OF ALL TAXES ON LEASED LAND.
Bids shall be submitted for the entire parcel. Only the annual rental shall be subject to bid. A certified check for the amount of the annual rental should be included with the bid when submitted. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes, addressed to the Board of Education of the Webster County School District and plainly marked on the outside of the envelope “BID FOR HUNTING AND FISHING LEASE on approximately ____ acres in Section ____, Township ____, Range ____.” Individuals who have current hunting and fishing leases on the sections listed above will have the option to match any new higher bid in order to retain the lease for another 3 years. The Board of Education of Webster County School District will meet at Eupora, Mississippi on the 20th day of July, 2020, at 6:00 P.M. and sealed bids received pursuant to this public notice will be subject to approval. The Board of Education of the Webster County School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids submitted, but if any bids are accepted, it will be in the manner prescribed by law.
The aforesaid land is being offered for lease under the provisions of Section 29-3-41 of the Mississippi Code Annotated (1972) as amended. Ordered by the Board of Education of the Webster County School District this the 8h day of June, 2020.

Notice of Bids for Leasing of Agricultural Land
The City of Eupora hereby gives notice that sealed bids will be taken by the Board of Aldermen and Mayor for the lease of approximately 180 acres located in the City of Eupora Industrial Park 3 for agricultural purposes to the highest bidder. It will be a Five Year (5) lease, beginning January 1, 2021 and going through December 31, 2025. This bid will be paid by five annual payments, each due on January 1 of each year of this contract. The person(s) accepting this contract must show proof of at least one million dollars ($1,000,000.00) of personal or corporate liability coverage. A map describing the land can be found at City Hall at 390 Clark Ave., Eupora between the hours of 7:30 am till 5 pm, Monday through Thursday and till 2:30 pm on Fridays.
The person(s) accepting such lease for agricultural purposes will be required to adhere to a NRCS plan for anti-erosion and good soil usage. Along with the approximate 180 acres of industrial park land, the person(s) awarded this contract will be given exclusive rights to cut, bale, and haul hay from the cleared grassland adjoining and adjacent to the runway at the Eupora Airport. The person(s) accepting such bid and agreement will be required to haul all bales from the property. It is stipulated that hay or bush hogging of the airport will be done a minimum of 3 times during growing season each year.
All sealed bids must be submitted to the City Clerk at City Hall no later than 4 pm, July 2, 2020. All bids will be opened and considered in regular meeting of the Eupora Board of Aldermen on Monday, July 6, 2020.
