WHEREAS, JERRY TANKERSLEY A/K/A JERRY DEANE TANKERSLEY, executed a Deed of Trust to W. DEAN BELK, Trustee for the use and benefit of Planters Bank and Trust Company, Ruleville Branch, dated February 7, 2019, of record in Deed of Trust Book 2019, Page 63 of the Land Records on file in the office of the Chancery Clerk of Webster County, Mississippi; and
WHEREAS, default having been made in the payment of the indebtedness secured by said deed of trust, and the holder of the note and deed of trust having requested the undersigned so to do, I will, on Thursday, the 2nd day of September, 2021, offer for sale at public outcry, during legal hours, being between the hours of 11:00 o’clock A.M. and 4:00 P.M., at the East front door of the Courthouse of Webster County, Mississippi, at Walthall, Mississippi, the following described property lying and being situate in the Town of Eupora, County of Webster, State of Mississippi, to-wit:
Lot No. 5 of Block 18 according to the Adams Survey of the Town of Eupora, Webster County, Mississippi, being otherwise described as being bounded on the North by Adams Avenue, on the West by Dr. James E. Booth Lot, on the South by an alley and on the East by the R. P. Sugg, Sr. Lot, being further described as commencing at the Northwest Corner of Block 18 of said Adams Survey which is the point of intersection of the East boundary of Gould Avenue and the South boundary of Adams Avenue and running thence northeast along the South boundary of Adams Avenue 200 feet to the Point of Beginning, thence Southeast perpendicular to Adams Avenue at said point to the North side of said alley, thence Northeast along the North side of said alley 109 feet to the R. P. Sugg, Sr. property, thence Northwest perpendicular to said alley to the South side of Adams Avenue, thence Southwest along the South side of said Adams Avenue to the Point of Beginning.
Together with all and singular, the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances thereon and thereunto appertaining.
SUBJECT, to all easements and rights-of-way for existing roads, highways, drainage canals, drainage ditches, pipelines, electric power and other utilities.

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENGINEERING OR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES
The Town of Mathiston requests proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide engineering or architectural services for work related to the implementation of an approved publicly-funded project related to industrial building improvements. You are invited to submit a proposal, in accordance with this request, to the Office of the Town Clerk 41 Mathis Drive, Mathiston, Mississippi 39752 or Post Office Box 178, Mathiston, MS 39752 no later than 3:00 p.m. on September 7, 2021.
The Engineer or Architect will be responsible for preparing project cost estimates for application(s) preparation and if awarded, the selected Engineer or Architect will provide all engineering/architectural services through project closeout in accordance with federal, state and local laws, regulations and policies. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1.) prepare plans and specifications; 2.) distribute bid documents; 3.) assist in bid opening and prepare bid tabulation; 4.) assist in the execution of construction contracts; 5.) hold pre-construction conference; and 6.) perform construction inspection including periodic reports to the Town and approve all payment requests.
The Town of Mathiston is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The Town encourages Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBEs) and Woman-owned Business Enterprises (WBEs) to submit proposals. The Town also encourages Section 3 eligible businesses to submit proposals. All proposals (three copies), must be submitted in a sealed envelope and marked with the following language; “Proposal for “Engineering or Architectural Services,” Proposals will be evaluated on the following factors: Qualifications (40 points), Experience (40 points) and Capacity for Performance (20 points). To be evaluated properly, the following must be addressed in detail:
Qualifications - List of qualifications of persons to be assigned to project;
Experience – Information regarding the firm’s experience and the projects previously undertaken, including the type and amount of grants awarded, the projects activities, and the status of the projects;
Capacity for Performance – Identify the number and title of staff assigned to provide services.
The Town will designate a selection committee to evaluate each proposal. The selection committee may hold proposals for a period of not to exceed thirty (30) days for the purpose of reviewing the content of the proposals and investigating the qualifications of the firms and assigned individuals. The Town reserves the right to reject and/or all proposals. All questions should be directed to Phylis Benson, Golden Triangle PDD at (662) 320-2007.
Subject to federal funding award and the removal of all environmental conditions, the Town will award a contract with the qualified individual or firm whose proposal has the highest number of cumulative points issued by the selection committee and determined to be the most advantageous to the Town. The contract will include scope and extent of work and other essential requirements. An individual contract will be executed for each awarded project, and the contract will be on a fixed price basis. The Town has the authority to terminate the selection at any time.
