2023 CITY STREET PAVING

Sealed bids will be received by the City of Louisville, Mississippi at Louisville City Hall located at 200 South Church Avenue, Louisville, MS 39339 until 10:00 A.M., Local Time, on October 31st, 2023 for supplying all labor and materials (as specified) necessary for construction of “2023 City Street Paving.”
The work generally consists of milling, asphalt overlay, base repair, and striping on Columbus Avenue, The Coliseum parking lot, and other city streets as directed by the City.
The above general outline of the work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment and materials required by the specifications and the drawings referred to therein.
The contract time is 240 calendar days. Liquidated damages will be assessed in the amount of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) for each calendar day the Work has not achieved Substantial Completion.
Special Damages – In addition to the amounts provided for liquidated damages, Contractor, in the event of such default, shall pay the Owner the actual costs reasonably incurred by Owner for engineering and inspection forces employed on the work after the time stipulated for the completion of the work.
CERTIFICATE OF RESPONSIBILITY: Each contractor submitting a bid in excess of $50,000.00 must show on his bid and on the face of the envelope containing the bid, his Certificate of Responsibility Number, as required by Section 31-3-21 and 21-3-15, Mississippi Code of 1972. If the bid does not exceed $50,000.00, a notation so stating must appear on the face of the envelope.

WHEREAS, on November 14, 2000, Anthony Woodard and wife Mamie Woodard executed a certain deed of trust to John E. Howell, a corporation, Trustee for the benefit of NCS Mortgage Lending Company which deed of trust is of record in the office of the Chancery Clerk of Winston County, State of Mississippi in Book 534 at Page 288; and
WHEREAS, LLG MS LLC has heretofore been substituted as Trustee by instrument dated August 16, 2023 and recorded in the aforesaid Chancery Clerk's Office in Book 5 Page 138; and
