The Choctaw County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on its proposed budget and proposed tax levies for fiscal year 2022-2023 on SEPTEMBER 8, 2022, at 9:00 AM in the Board Room of the Choctaw County Courthouse.
Choctaw County is now operating with projected revenue of $16,092,718. 48.73% or $7,841,234 of such revenue is obtained through ad valorem taxes. For the next fiscal year, the proposed budget is $19,045,130. Of that amount, 40.81% of $7,772,127 is proposed to be financed through a total ad valorem tax levy.
For the next fiscal year, Choctaw County plans for your ad valorem millage rate to remain at 80.84.
Any citizen of Choctaw County is invited to attend this public hearing on the proposed budget and tax levies for fiscal year 2022-2023 and will be allowed to speak for a reasonable amount of time and offer tangible evidence before any vote is taken.
