A Complaint for Forfeiture has been filed in this Court by the State of Mississippi, by and through the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, seeking the forfeiture of the above-described property, which was seized July 21, 2022, in Choctaw County, Mississippi.
If you are the owner of the defendant property and you wish to contest the forfeiture of said property then you are required to mail or hand deliver a written response to the Complaint for Forfeiture to Anthony Schmidt, General Counsel, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, P. O. Box 720519, Byram, MS 39272.

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES
The Town of Ackerman requests proposals (qualifications) from qualified firms or individuals to provide engineering services for work related to a wastewater system improvements project with funding from: Mississippi Municipality & County Water Infrastructure Grant Program in conjunction with the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). This Request for Qualifications includes the preparation of cost estimates and project engineering services for the project administration and construction. You are invited to submit a proposal, in accordance with this request to the Town of Ackerman, Town Clerk, 45 East Main Street or Post Office Box 394, Ackerman, Mississippi 39735, no later than 10:00 AM on January 10, 2023.
The Engineer will be responsible for performing all engineering services through project closeout in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations and policies. The scope of work includes but is not limited the following: 1) prepare plans and specifications, 2) distribute bid documents, 3) assist in bid opening and prepare bid tabulation, 4) assist in the execution of construction contracts, 5) hold preconstruction conference, and 6) perform construction inspection including periodic reports to the Town of Ackerman and approve all payment requests.
The Town of Ackerman is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The Town of Ackerman encourages Minority owned Business Enterprises (MBEs) and Woman owned Business Enterprises (WBEs) to submit proposals.
All proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope and marked with the following language: "Proposal for Public Facilities Engineering Services." Proposals will be evaluated on the following factors: Qualifications, (30 points), Experience (30 points), Capacity for Performance (20 points) and Familiarity (20 points). To be evaluated properly, the following must be addressed in detail:
Qualifications — List of qualifications of person to be assigned to project;
Experience — Information regarding the firm's experience and the projects previously undertaken, including description, funding source, client, and the status of projects;
Capacity for Performance — Identify the number and title of staff assigned to provide services;
Firm's familiarity with and proximity to the geographic location of the projects — Indicate office location where work will be performed.
The Town of Ackerman will evaluate each proposal. They may hold proposals for a period of not to exceed thirty (30) days for the purpose of reviewing the content of the proposals and investigating the qualifications of the firms and assigned individuals. The Town of Ackerman reserves the right to reject and/or all proposals.
Subject to grant award and the removal of all environmental conditions, the Town of Ackerman will award a contract with the qualified individual or firm whose proposal has the highest number of cumulative points issued by the selection committee and determined to be the most advantageous to the Town of Ackerman, price and other factors considered. The contract will include scope and extent of work and other essential requirements. An individual contract will be executed for the awarded project and the contract will be on a fixed price basis. The Town of Ackerman has the authority to terminate the selection at any time.

You are summoned to appear and defend against said complaint or petition at 9:00 o'clock a.m. on the 26th day of January, 2023 in the courtroom of the Winston County Courthouse in Louisville, Mississippi and in case of your failure to appear and defend a judgement will be entered against you for the money or other things demanded in the complaint or petition.
