Two more wins came through for the Louisville girls basketball team last week as the Lady Wildcats went to work against two competitive programs.
Starting off the week last Tuesday, LHS hosted the Houston Lady Hilltoppers. The Lady Wildcats managed to take care of business in that game 65-52. In game two of the week, LHS was too much for East Webster to handle and they had a 61-42 rout to finish with a perfect week.
LHS (8-3) got a break for a few days but is back in action on Friday evening. The team will travel down to Cumberland to the campus of East Webster where they will take on the Lamar School Lady Raiders in the EWHS Christmas Classic at 4 p.m.
The Wildcat boys split the action last week as the team went into the Christmas break.
LHS started things off by getting back on the winning track at home against Houston last Tuesday. The Wildcats commanded the game and took a 69-54 victory over the Hilltoppers to stop a five-game losing streak.
Unfortunately, the Wildcats couldn’t turn it into consecutive wins after welcoming in East Webster. The Wolverines built a lead through three quarters and held on for a 58-46 victory in that game to send things to the Christmas holiday.
LHS (3-7) will play at the East Webster Christmas Classic on Friday night against Lamar School at 5:30 p.m. in Cumberland. On Saturday, the have a quick turnaround playing at Grenada at 11 a.m.
