The Louisville Lady Wildcats have been on a hot streak, but that all came to a head when they met up against rival, Kosciusko Lady Whippets. The Lady Wildcats traveled down Highway 14 toward Kosciusko.
And out the gate the Lady Whippets mounted the Lady Wildcats. In the first game, they were able to produce one run to Kosciusko’s 16.
In the second game, it was again all Lady Whippets as the Lady Wildcats couldn’t get on the board.
But, the Lady Wildcats bounced back against Leake County. The Lady Wildcats were able to run-rule the Lady Gators. They were able to put up 18 points just in the first inning to Leake County’s one point. In the second inning, the Lady Wildcats produced six more runs. The Lady Gators were able to get three more on the board before the game ended in the third inning.
Against the Lady Gators, the Lady Wildcats had 11 hits and 10 RBIs.
Jaidah Dixon came up big for the Lady Wildcats pulling a homerun against the Lady Gators.
Sahayley Yarbrough brought in RBIs, Ker’Rhianna Parker had a double, Sakenya Glenn, Khole Coleman and Tegan Miller each added an RBI, Kaylee Parks and Dixon each had two RBIs.
Before meeting the Lady Gators and the Lady Whippets, the Lady Wildcats met up with Winston County rival Grace Christian. And in a double header, the Lady Wildcats got two wins over the Lady Eagles.
In the first game, Grace attempted to battle back against the Lady Wildcats, but the Lady Wildcats got the win 10-3. In the second game, it was all Lady Wildcats as they took a 16-1 win over Grace.
The Lady Wildcats also got wins against Philadelphia and Columbus and tied with Kemper County 22 up. The Lady Wildcats have losses against Starkville Christian and Forest.
They’re enjoying a much needed break, but next Monday it’s back to the diamond when they’ll face Kemper County before jumping back into district and taking on Caledonia.
