The Lady Chargers spent Spring Break recharging after spending the first few days of their break in Gulf Shores, Alabama. They’ve been on a slippery slope, losing the last nine games back-to-back. But the Lady Chargers were able to get back on course with three back-to-back wins before departing Alabama.
The Lady Chargers were strong at the bat during their battle back, with Lexi Patterson pulling two homeruns in their games against Lincoln County and Fairhope. Patterson was the lone scorer in the Fairhope game.
The County Girls also saw runs from Atleigh Hollingsworth, Maddie Sanders, BB Ingram, Mary Claire Salley, Abby Newlin, Kasey Newlin, Marlee Coleman, and Britlee Telano. They were able to produce a combined 33 runs between three games, opposed to the first two played while in Gulf Shores when they were only able to produce one.
The Lady Chargers have wins against Bruce, Kosciusko, Lincoln County, Beech and Brentwood Academy with the last three coming from the Gulf Shores tournament. They also tied with the East Union Urchins.
This week, the Chargers take on Nettleton in division play and Starkville.
