As the county is still reeling from an exciting December, the County Girls and County Boys have been hitting the hardwood.
Recently, the County girls met the Phialdelphia Lady Tornadoes and it was a runaway game with the County girls coming out on top. The County Girls came out with a strong first half and were able to keep their lead through the second half. The Lady Tornadoes attempted to try and battle back from behind but the Lady Chargers were too far ahead for them to catch up.
Choctaw County 56, Noxapater 35
The Choctaw County Girls have been on a wave, right now the County Girls are 11-6 and they don’t seem to be slowing down. In their meeting with Noxapater.
The County Girls got out to a strong start, scoring 11 points in the first quarter. But their second quarter, before the half the County Girls ran away from the Tigers putting up 25 points. After the half, they put up 11 in the third and three in the fourth.
Choctaw County 64, Aberdeen 32
In their first non district meet up, the County Girls dominated the Lady Bulldogs. Coming out with another strong first half scoring 19 in the first quarter and 20 in the second quarter. They continued their run scoring 17 in the third and eight in the fourth.
Earlier this week, the County Girls participated in the McAdams Christmas Tournament.
Boys
The County Boys were a different story against the Tornadoes. The Tornadoes came out strong and kept their lead. The Chargers tried to battle back from behind. But, the Tornadoes caught a momentum at the very end of the game, and the Tornadoes took the win.
Choctaw County 65, Noxapater 33
The County Boys took an overwhelming win over the Tigers right after the football boys came from the Stable to the Cobb. In the win against Noxapater, Vari Carter led the County Boys with 12 points, Will Taylor had 13 points, Quay Lowery had 10 and KJ Cork had 8.
Aberdeen 45, Choctaw County 39
The County Boys took a loss to the Aberdeen Bulldogs on the hardwood in their second non district game. In non district games, the Chargers are 0-2. The County Boys also lost to East Webster earlier in the season. The County Boys fought to come back but the Bulldogs were able to pull away with the win.
This week, the County Boys are in the East Webster Christmas tournament.
