Junior Auxiliary of Louisville is once again set to present its annual Charity Ball. The event will be Saturday, March 1 at Lake Tiak-O’Khata’s Pine Ridge Lodge. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and this year’s theme is Mardi Gras.
“Charity Ball is a fun night that has become somewhat of an institution in the community over the years, and we are looking extremely forward to continuing the tradition this year,” said Mollie Smith, a Junior Auxiliary life member who served as president for 2023-2024.
“Through the late ‘90s, Junior Auxiliary Charity Ball was a popular event in Winston County, held in February or March. The event made a strong comeback in 2019 only to be cancelled in 2021 because of the pandemic mandate,” Smith explained.
“In 2024, we were fortunately able to reenergize and revive Charity Ball, and we have great expectations for the future,” she said.
Junior Auxiliary has a rich history in Louisville, with the local chapter founded in 1946. The organization remains well known for its community engagement, and Smith embodies its spirit of giving.
“I have loved every minute of my time in Junior Auxiliary. It has become a part of who I am because I am passionate about enhancing the very community where my family lives,” she said.
Attendees of the 2025 Charity Ball with its Mardi Gras theme will enjoy a live band, a silent auction with a number of great items available for bid, and a buffet-style supper. Furthermore, the Charity Ball court, comprised of Crown Club Seniors, will return this year.
“We look forward to seeing you and your friends March 1 at Pine Ridge Lodge at Lake Tiak-O’Khata for an unforgettable evening at Charity Ball,” said Smith.
A limited number of Charity Ball tickets are available for $50 per person and can be secured from Junior Auxiliary members. Proceeds from Charity Ball annually benefit the children of Winston County.
