Dear friends, I’m so sorry for missing last week with my column for the paper. I went to be with my sister that lives in Brandon who was having surgery. The Lord brought her through and she’s alright. Praise God! As we approach the coming of our Lord and Savior, we see and feel the enemy’s fiery darts more and more each day, which means we can’t slow down or give up. When Paul was telling the church in Ephesians about putting on the whole armor of God, he said in Ephesians 6:16, “Above all, taking the shield of faith, where with ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.” It seems like everywhere you turn, God’s people are going through things. One reason is that you love the Lord and because of that Satan hates you. You may say, “Well, I thought when you lived for God that you aren’t supposed to have any troubles.” No, the word tells that it rains on the just and the unjust. Read what 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 says: “ For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. ” 2 Corinthians 12:9 says, “His grace is efficient,” which means that his grace is enough. Praise the Lord!
