Greetings in the name of our Lod and Savior, Jesus Christ. Oh, how I love Jesus, because he first loved me.
Psalm 103:12-18 says, “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
“Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.
“For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
“As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
“For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
“But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;
“To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.”
How much the Father loves us! Verse 13 says, “Like as a father pitieth his children.” When you look up the word “pietieth” it means to love deeply, have mercy on, have compassion for.
He has mercy on those that fear him, to such as keep his covenant and to those that remember his commandments to do them. We can’t just be a hearer of the word but a doer also.
Friends, John 14:6 says, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” He is saying today, “Come unto me and I will give you rest.”
