Praise the Lord for his mercy and grace. Praise the Lord for his goodness and loving kindness he shows toward mankind. We can never praise him enough.
Oh, but my heart and spirit grieve when I think of how so many take the Lord for granted, when we don’t know if we will live another day. Our life can be taken so quickly, we are not promised tomorrow. We have got to be sure of our salvation.
Hebrews 12:1 says, “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.”
Too many are in the race trying to carry too many weights. Weight means hindrance. Sin means to miss or wander from the path of uprightness and honor, to do or go wrong. And beset means to prevent someone from accomplishing something.
Everyone has hindrances, but we have to set our face like flint and keep going forward. And when we have wandered away from God, when we have sinned and done wrong, then we have to repent, ask God to forgive us and put us back on the right path. He will and things can be right again.
We had an awesome revival. Praise the Lord!
