William Cooper was presented with a resolution of honor and thanks on behalf of the Mayor, Board of Aldermen of the City of Louisville, and city officials for his service on the Louisville-Winston County Airport Authority (LWCAA) in January.
The Winston County Board of Supervisors also presented Cooper with a resolution.
The LWCAA exists to promote continued improvement of the airport facilities in Winston County Mississippi, support the increase of aviation activities, cooperate with all organizations working for the general advancement and benefit of aviation and airports, and generally represent the interests of aviation and airports in Mississippi.
Mr. Cooper has served on the LWCAA Board of Directors for twelve years, and he was instrumental in the growth and development of the Airport during this period. During his time as a board member, he exhibited the highest goals of the LWCAA.
Mr. Cooper has now chosen to retire after many years of dedication and service, and the city of Louisville would like to sincerely thank him for his contributions by bestowing this resolution in his honor.
