The Eupora Police Department is investigating a weekend shooting in which a teenager was grazed by a bullet.
Police Chief Gregg Hunter said officers responded to the scene on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive around 1 a.m. Sunday. Webster 911 records show the Webster County Sheriff’s Department also responded to the report of shots fired.
Hunter said the victim was grazed by a bullet after a fight in the parking lot of the Mt. Union Masonic Lodge, which was being rented for a party.
The victim, a 17-year-old male from Kilmichael, was taken by personal vehicle to North Mississippi Medical-Eupora. Hunter said he was treated in the emergency room and released within two hours.
No arrests had been made as of Monday morning in the ongoing investigation. Hunter said the multiple suspects include some from Winona who had not been interviewed yet.
