During their last meeting of 2018, on Monday, December 17, the Choctaw County Board of Supervisors dealt with several routine matters.
The Board voted 5-0 to use the Edispatch system on a trial basis. The system, which includes a cell phone app, will provide responders with a map to the actual location of incidents, as well as the ability to go back and listen to a call as often as needed.
In other action, the Board:
• Heard from County Engineer Marty Crowder who reported that three applications have been filed for emergency bridge repair funds. No action was necessary.
• Voted 5-0 to approve travel to the Coroner’s Convention and a registration fee of $350.
• Voted 5-0 to recognize Michael Prewitt’s graduation from MLEOTA on August 2, 2018 and increase his pay according to policy.
The Choctaw County Board of Supervisor’s first meeting of 2019 is scheduled for Monday, January 7 at 9 a.m.
