Small-business owners and entrepreneurs can participate in an upcoming workshop to help them establish, develop and grow their businesses.
The Mississippi Small Business Workshop will be December 6, 2018 at the Winston County Extension.
The MSU Extension Center for Government and Community Development will conduct a power point presentation with basic information on how to start a small business from the idea phase to actually opening the business. Hamp Beatty, Business Development, will present the program.
The Program will deliver an educational session and help business owners understand the resources available.
Topics include how to evaluate a potential retail market, determining start-up costs, applicable licenses and permits, development of a simple business plan with cash flow projections, business financing including conventional loans and SBA guaranty loans, and legal business structures and Insurance/risk management.
The forum begins at 4 p.m on December 6, 2018.
