The Mississippi Transportation Commission has awarded contracts for maintenance projects in North Mississippi.
“Safety is always MDOT’s top priority,” said Commissioner Mike Tagert, Northern Transportation District. “These projects will significantly increase the safety and mobility throughout North Mississippi.”
The awarded contracts included a $3.5 million contract awarded to WG Construction Co. Inc. of Ripley to mill and overlay approximately 10 miles of Mississippi 15 from the Webster County line to south of Mississippi 8 in Chickasaw County.
MDOT will release additional information regarding timelines and impacts to traffic before the start of construction.
MDOT will alert the traveling public prior to any changes in traffic.
