The Louisville Municipal School District recognized the parents of the year for each school and the district.
Awards were presented to the honorees during the Feb. 12 school board meeting.
Receiving the honors were:
From Fair Elementary was Erica Cole.
From Louisville Elementary was Toni Rivers
From Eiland Middle School was Natalie Hickman
From Louisville High School was Sonja Cooper
From Nanih Waiya Attendance Center was Laynette Ashmore
From Noxapater Attendance Center was Amy Thomas
and for the LMSD District Parent Of The Year was Toni Rivers.
Rivers was described by the staff as a person who goes over and beyond and who pushes her children and others to succeed.
