The Webster County School District has announced the Teachers and Administrator of the Year.
Awards were presented to the honorees during the Feb. 11 school board meeting at the Career and Technology Center. Educators receiving the honors were:
• Lavelle McAlpin, teacher of the year — East Webster High School and district teacher of the year
• Randee Jernigan, teacher of the year — Eupora High School
• Lynn Kolb, teacher of the year — East Webster Elementary School
• Lori Cook, teacher of the year — Eupora Elementary School
• Paul Orr, teacher of the year — Webster County Career and Technology Center
• Chip Powell, administrator of the year — Eupora Elementary School
The Teacher Academy from the WCCTC hosted the board meeting that night. Teacher Academy delegates Gracie Burton and Carly Holland then observed the night’s general meeting.
