A man has died in Choctaw County after a shooting November 22.
According to other news outlets, Choctaw County Chief Deputy Keith Upchurch confirms a shooting left one man dead. The shooting happened Friday night, Nov. 22, around 9:00 p.m. in the Mill Springs area.
Law enforcement officials are interviewing possible witnesses and seeking other witnesses for information on the shooting.
The Choctaw Country Sheriff's Department, Ackerman Police Department, and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation are working on the investigation.
According to other news outlets, when deputies arrived at a residence on Seward Road, they discovered the body of a 38-year-old, African-American male.
According to other news outlets, Coroner Keith Coleman said the victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The victim’s body was transported to the state crime lab in Pearl for an autopsy.
