One of six candidates for Webster County sheriff has withdrawn from the open race.
Tim “Baby” Tindall of Eupora withdrew as a candidate for the sheriff position on the Aug. 6 Republican primary ballot.
Tindall withdrew April 16, according to a letter he filed with the Webster County Circuit Clerk’s Office. Copies were also provided to the secretary of state and the Republican Party.
Jeffrey Mann will now be unopposed in the Republican primary.
Democratic candidates are William “Bill” Bland, David Gore and Casey Henderson.
Calvin “Brad” Robinson will be on the general election ballot in November as an Independent candidate.
