The Autumn Beauty Review has been moved from Saturday to a Thursday night. This year’s Autumn Beauty Review is on Thursday, October 24th at the Ty Cobb Auditorium in Ackerman.
For the past few years, the Autumn Beauty Review has been held on Saturday of Jack O’ Lantern Jam. The Choctaw County Chamber of Commerce has moved the Autumn Beauty Review to Thursday night to allow more time for kids to participate in the pageant and have time to get ready for Jack O’ Lantern Jam.
The Autumn Beauty Review is a Mother’s Choice pageant for girls and boys ages baby to 18 years old. Entry fee is $25 and includes three sides events – Prettiest Hair, Prettiest Smile and Best Fashion. Winners of each division receive a crown; alternates receive a sash and everyone will receive a medallion. Winners of the side events win a certificate.
The Choctaw County Chamber of Commerce encourages girls and boys to participate in the pageant. You do not have to reside in Choctaw County to participate. Mother’s Choice is pageant or Sunday dress. Many of the contestants’ wear pageant dresses but it’s not required. The Chamber wants all girls and boys to feel welcome to enter and have fun at the Autumn Beauty Review.
On October 24th, the doors of the Ty Cobb Auditorium will open at 5pm with the pageant beginning at 6:30pm. Admission fee is $5 per person including parents. Kids ages 5 and under are free.
Entry deadline is October 4th.
