The Eupora Board of Aldermen approved an emergency water line repair during a special-called meeting Feb. 18.
Jerry Gary (at-large) said the Bellefontaine water line was hanging down in a creek on Highway 404 near Rufus Marter’s residence, mainly because of flood waters. If the water line were to break, Gary said 50-60 customers would be without water.
The board voted to declare an emergency and authorized an expenditure of $20,000-$30,000 from Water Department funds to have Perma Corp. of Columbus repair the line. This was upon the recommendation of City Engineer Stanley Spradling.
The board’s next regular meeting is at 6 p.m. Monday.
