Eupora police have charged two juveniles in connection with the theft of two all-terrain vehicles that have been recovered.
Police Chief Gregg Hunter said the ATVs were stolen the night of Aug. 12 — one from Gum Street and the other from South Dunn Street.
Two 16-year-old males were arrested Aug. 14 in connection with the thefts, he said. They were originally charged with curfew violations, which escalated to grand larceny charges for the ATV thefts. Hunter said both ATVs have been recovered and returned to the owners. One of the four-wheelers, a 2012 Honda Foreman 500, had been damaged.
The juveniles have since had initial appearances in Webster County Youth Court and a date has been set for disposition in Youth Court, according to Hunter.

Hunter confirmed the Police Department is also investigating the theft of a car from South Dunn about two weeks ago. He said the blue 2010 Ford Fusion’s tag number and vehicle identification number have been entered into the National Crime and Information Center database.
Additionally, Hunter said multiple vehicles have been pillaged through in recent weeks, with the culprits apparently looking for loose change or items of value.
He reminded people not leave cash, weapons or anything else of value in their vehicles overnight and to lock the doors.
