On Thursday at the regular meeting of the Sonshine Club at Center Grove Baptist Church, pastored by the Rev. Thad Moore, the special program was by two people from Mississippi State University’s Mitchell Memorial Library.
After a time of fellowship, visiting and a delicious potluck lunch, the members went into the sanctuary for an interesting program.
Frances Coleman, who is the head of the library, and Paul Huddleston gave a most interesting discussion and showed a most interesting video telling about galleries at the library.
They both discussed and showed us a video about the $10 million Ulysses S. Grant President Library and other collections.
Of local interest also was the Charles H. Templeton Sr. Music Museum that is there, and other divisions there.
Mrs. Coleman, Huddleston and the MSU Library work with our local libraries and assist them. It is interesting to pay a visit and see what they do have.
