WCPL Storytimes feature valentine themes

A small group of Pre-K children gathered at Webster County Public Library on a cold sunny Wednesday for Storytime on Jan. 26.

The children had a snowball (Styrofoam) fight, sang “Good Morning Song,” “I’ll Make a Valentine for You” and “I Love You” before listening to Ms. Anita read “Happy Valentine’s Day, Pooh!”

‘Snowy Day’ at WCPL Storytime

The children arrived at Webster County Public Library eager to hear another story from Ms. Anita on Jan. 19.

She led them in the “Hello Song,” “Polar Bear, Polar Bear,” “Snowflake on My Nose” and played the Snowball game and “5 Little Snowmen” before reading “The Snowy Day.”

Storytime features ‘The Big Snowball’

For the first Storytime of the new year, the group of Pre-K children was small, but everyone had a great time.

Ms. Anita led them in singing and playing before the story. Since the weather was cold and we experienced some snow, the songs and story were centered around snow.

'Thanks for Thanksgiving' at storytime

On a beautiful fall Wednesday in November, children arrived at Webster County Public Library for storytime on Nov. 10.

Ms. Anita led them in singing and playing before the story. They sang the “Hello Song,” “If You’re Thankful and You Know It,” “5 Little Turkeys” and danced around to the “Turkey Trot Dance.”
