While Byron Foster has been working in the capacity of the city’s Animal Control Officer for a few months now, on Tuesday, Public Safety Director for the City of Louisville Chris Young officially swore Foster into the office at the City of Louisville Board of Aldermen meeting.
Foster has taken two different classes to become certified for the position. Young commented on Foster jumping into the work with enthusiasm. He also told all in attendance that there had been many upgrades at the shelter in the last year and encouraged all to visit the shelter to see just how far the facility had come.
In attendance with Foster for the swearing-in were his parents, his wife, and his children.
The Board of Aldermen then heard updates on capital projects, approved payments to Neel Schaffer for work completed during the month of August, and discussed the status of ongoing projects, including work on Gladney Drive which is anticipated to begin soon.
