On Nov. 17, two Miss Mississippi local preliminaries, Miss Southern Oaks and Miss Belle of the Bayou, will take place in Eupora.
Two Miss crowns will be given away and two Teen crowns will be given away. The Miss America Organization, which is 97 years old, gives more scholarships to young women than any other organization in the world.
Details are still forthcoming about the time, and will be published at a later date. However, Miss Mississippi Asya Danielle Branch will be in town that day to emcee and appear at a meet-and-greet before the pageant.
The pageant will be held at Eupora High School’s Latham Auditorium.
Competition will be held in five categories for the Miss contestants. Each young lady will compete in a private interview, lifestyle and fitness, talent, evening gown and onstage question.
Competition for the Teen contestants is held in private interview, active wear, talent, evening gown and onstage question.
The winners of the Miss pageants will continue their quest for the crown of Miss Mississippi in June in Vicksburg. The winners of the Outstanding Teen pageants will compete for Miss Mississippi’s Outstanding Teen in April in Vicksburg.
