French Camp's February 12 Historical Highlight speaker will be Mayor Glen Barlow. Glen has served as French Camp's mayor since 2001 and is currently serving as the 2018-2019 Mississippi Municipal League President. In this role, Glen works with leaders from villages, towns and cities across the state, urging them to join together and foster relationships that unite and equip them to strengthen both individual communities and the state of Mississippi.
At his installation in June, 2018, Glen made a wonderful presentation about the town of French Camp - A Small Town That Makes a Difference. There were lots of pictures of people and places throughout the community. Join us for an opportunity to see this snapshot of our community that has been viewed by thousands of citizens from across our state!
The March 12 Historical Highlight speaker will be JoAnne Young, a member of the Robinson family that lived on McCool Road. JoAnne has many French Camp connections and childhood memories to share!
Historical Highlight Luncheons are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month at French Camp Presbyterian Church, featuring a speaker who shares some aspect of French Camp's history and a delicious, home-cooked meal for a $2 donation. The public is invited. RSVP for the luncheon by contacting Mary Nell Coblentz at marynellcoblentz@gmail.com or 803-984-0679.
