We had a wonderful service Jan. 20. Mrs. Avent was able to be in Sunday school with us so we were able to have prayer with her and for her.
Through prayer the Lord was restoring her strength. Those of you who take care of a sick loved one know it can be taxing on your body and mind, especially if they’re close to you! Please continue to keep T.J. Avent in your prayers, and the family.
The Lord blessed so much that Sunday with a sermon titled “We Need a Fresh Encounter with God” from Joshua 5. Joshua had an encounter with God that strengthened his faith and was reassured that this battle is the Lord’s.
The Lord fights for us, so loose thy shoes from off thy feet; for the place you’re standing is holy ground. God is Holy. He desires for us live and win! So remember to pray to live for God. Seek him while he may be found. Seek to have an encounter with God. It will change your life.
Look at Joshua. He was always victorious when he prayed and trusted God. Don’t be overwhelmed; this battle is the Lord’s. Trust in the Lord, for he is our shield, our buckler, our salvation and our defense.
