French Camp softball lost twice last week, 5-2 to Ethel in a Region 5-1A game and 10-1 to Sebastopol in a non-region game.
French Camp took a quick lead against Ethel with a run in the top of the first, but the Lady Tigers answered with four in the bottom of the inning. The Lady Panthers were held to four hits by seventh grader Elena White, including a run-scoring single by Maci Grice and a double by losing pitcher Aubrey Burrell.
Burrell surrendered five hits and four earned runs, with six strikeouts.
Kalee McDaniel had French Camp's only hit and scored the Panthers' run in the loss to Sebastopol.
French Camp had a region game with Nanih Waiya Tuesday and will play Vardaman in a non-region game Friday. The Lady Panthers entered the Nanih Waiya game with an 0-1 region record
