Merry Christmas to these fellows who are assembling the High Tunnel at the Center Hill Farmers Market. This expansion project is sponsored by the Friends of Dean Park from a $25,000 grant from the National Resource Conservation Services (NRCS), Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP). The fellows are Alonzo Miller, Richard Moncrief, Stanley J. Montgomery, James 'Turkey ' Jordan, Allen McReynolds, Clifford 'Big Man' Eichelberger and Jerome Moncrief. Mary Waldrip McWilliams and Elmetra Patterson are providing support. The high tunnel construction will be completed by the end of January 2025.
They are making history in our community in memory of Mr. Milton E. Dean and Rev. Ollie Dailey. They are our heroes. We will have plenty of fresh produce for the 2025 season.
