The Eupora High School basketball teams are set to return to action this week when they play host to Leflore County on Friday.
The next week see the Eagles facing a pair of tough road trips, as they travel to Calhoun City on Tuesday, the make a visit to arch-rival East Webster on Friday, Jan. 12.
After that two-game road trip, the Eagles and Lady Eagles will then had three straight home contests — hosting Bruce on Jan. 16, Winona on Jan. 19 and Houston on Jan. 23.
The Eupora boys closed out the 2017 part of its season with wins over McAdams and Aberdeen. EHS downed the Bulldogs of McAdams 86-71 behind an incredible night from Makaylon Patterson was was 15-of-17 from the floor for 34 points, w;hill Jerron Patterson added 23. Al Dumas pumped in 34 points in the win over Aberdeen.
The EHS girls will be trying to start 2018 off on a winning note after closing out December with losses of 49-18 to Houston and 49-27 to McAdams.
