Brooke Eaves, a Winston County native, is committed to serving her hometown through service and volunteerism.
Eaves serves as the Clinic Administrator for the Louisville Medical Clinic and has for four years. Her job responsibilities are to oversee all clinic services, operations and outreach. She has also worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist (MS, CCC-SLP) for 22 years.
Eaves loves many things about her job, but her favorite is making a difference in people's lives.
"The opportunity to make a difference in people's lives; whether in Therapy or Rural Health, the ability to improve someone's quality of life, offer kind words of consolation, make every effort to make lives better, and promote Hope... these are what matter most," said Eaves.
Her work in healthcare has earned Eaves two national awards - the Population Health Pioneer Award: ACO Practice Manager Leader Award (December 2019) and The Safe and Sound Initiative: The Lynn Phillippi Advocacy for Older Adults Award (February 2016).
Her dedication to service continues through clubs and service projects. Eaves is a lifetime member of the Junior Auxiliary and served as the President of the Louisville Rotary Club this past year, 2020 - 2021.
As President of the Rotary Club, Eaves was responsible for picking projects for the club.
"I select all projects strategically and carefully to determine the greatest timely community need. With the onset of Covid, I felt the urgency of social disparities and a "thinking outside the box" approach to reaching those most in need," said Eaves.
"One of our greatest accomplishments during my Presidential year was collaborating with local partners for the Giving Box. The Giving Box Project provides anonymous giving and receiving of collected donations in the form of non-perishable food items, personal hygiene items, etc., offered to the community at any time at no cost or obligation," she continued.
"The collaborative approach of Healthcare (Louisville Medical Clinic), Industry (Winston Plywood and Veneer: the brain-child and builder of the Giving Box), and Service (Louisville Rotary Club) wove a triple thread within our "Community" for the benefit of the community at one of the most difficult times in our recent past," said Eaves.
Through the Rotary Club, Eaves also serves as the Rotary District 6820 - District Committee Chair 2021-2022 and previously served as the Service Chair for 2015 - 2016 and 2020.
Eaves loves the Rotary Club because of the club's commitment to serving the community and how this service helps each member individually and the community as a whole.
"Service allows the diversity of individuals and thought to shine and reveal the best parts of us, refine and make better, and disperse, without restraint, positivity and progress into the Community," said Eaves.
Eaves loves spending time with her husband of 23 years at home, Ryan Eaves, and their two children, Branson, 22 years old, and Anna Rose, 15 years old.
Branson serves in the US ARMY as a Combat Medic and Veteran and is a full-time college student, while Anna Rose is a full-time student at Grace Christian School.
