HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) — Andre Curbelo scored 24 points as Southern Miss beat Texas State 78-74 on Saturday night.
Curbelo also added five rebounds for the Golden Eagles (15-12, 8-6 Sun Belt Conference). Austin Crowley scored 19 points and added five rebounds and five assists. Tegra Izay shot 4 of 5 from the field to finish with nine points, while adding six rebounds and three blocks.
Jordan Mason led the way for the Bobcats (11-16, 4-10) with 18 points and two steals. Texas State also got 17 points and three steals from Coleton Benson. Chris Nix also put up 10 points and six rebounds.
