An altercation at a home in the Noxapater area, on the evening of Sunday, July 17, led to the arrest of Jimmy Thrash, on a charge of domestic violence simple assault. The incident occurred during a family movie night when an argument between Thrash and a juvenile daughter escalated to the point that Thrash slapped her in the face three times.
It was reported that Thrash turned himself in to the Winston County Sheriff's Office the following day, where he was charged. He was later released on bond. The incident is still under investigation by the Department of Human Services.
