The Starkville Police Department has made four arrests related to a shooting incident that occurred June 15 at Highway 12 and Louisville Street, including a Maben man.
Starkville police responded to the reported shooting at the intersection. Witnesses told police that an argument had taken place at Westside Market before the shooting, according to the SPD. Authorities said a vehicle received damage, but no injuries have been reported.
Ma’Dayviun Lofton, a 21-year-old resident of Maben, was arrested for aggravated assault on June 21 in connection with the shooting.
Other individuals taken into custody during the investigation were a 21-year-old resident of Shuqualak who was arrested June 15 for aggravated assault; a male juvenile, age 17, who was detained June 22 on an aggravated assault charge; and a 30-year-old resident of Starkville arrested June 25 for aggravated assault.
