A man wanted in Georgia remains in the Choctaw County jail.
Joseph Rich, 47, was wanted for a parole violation for felony warrents in Camden County, Georgia.
Choctaw County Sheriff Brandon Busby says law enforcement went to a home on Dido Mount Salem Road the afternoon of Monday, August 1 in an attempt to serve felony warrents and speak with Rich.
Once the house was surrounded, several people left the home, but Rich refused to come out.
Busby said it took about an hour to take Rich into custody. Choctaw County deputies assisted U.S. Marshals and Starkville police in arresting Rich without incident.
Rich does not face any charges in Choctaw County. He had been living in the county for several years and without incident.
He will soon be extradited to Georgia.
