Two people have been arrested in connection with the theft of a recreational vehicle from Webster County.
The 2015 Starcraft AR-ONE MAXX travel trailer was stolen in April 2021 from U.S. 82 in Sapa near the Country Club. The Webster County Sheriff’s Department, in a Monday social media post, said the camper was valued at $23,000.
The sheriff’s office said the theft opened a multiagency investigation involving the Webster County, Oktibbeha County, Lowndes County and Tishomingo County sheriffs’ offices.
Nearly one year later after executing a search warrant in Tishomingo County, the WCSD said the camper has been recovered and two arrests were made in connection with its theft. The names of those arrested were not released.
The owner of the camper had been offering a $5,000 cash reward leading to its recovery, as stated in a long-running Page 1 ad in the Progress-Times.
Anyone with additional information regarding this incident is asked to contact the WCSD (662-258-7701).
