Three people have been charged in connection with last week’s theft of a truck in Cadaretta.
The Webster County Sheriff’s Department said deputies initiated an investigation April 19 after they received a report from a resident in the Cadaretta community that a truck was stolen from their property during the night.
Deputies located the stolen truck around 9 a.m. Thursday at a residence in Oktibbeha County. The WCSD said Preston McKee, Kristen Chaussard and Greg Davis were arrested and charged with grand larceny and auto burglary. More arrests are likely, according to the department.
The WCSD thanked the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office for its help in locating the vehicle, as well as the Clay County Sheriff’s Office for its help apprehending two suspects.
McKee, 28, and Chaussard, 31, were being held at the Webster County Jail as of Monday morning after receiving bonds of $100,000 and $25,000, respectively, by a Justice Court judge. McKee has a hold from the Ackerman Police Department.
Davis, 39, was being held at the Oktibbeha County Jail for a warrant in that county and was to receive a bond hearing once transported to the Webster County Jail.
