A Louisville man will serve 20 years consecutively after pleading guilty in Winston County Circuit Court to the death of Devonte McMillan after a shooting at Blackwell’s Store, also known as Louisville Pit Stop.
Elvandrick Idom, 22, was sentenced to 20 years for his participation in the shooting. Derek Wyatt, Winston County Sheriff’s Department Investigator, who at the time of the shooting was working for the Louisville Police Department, said that Idom was sentenced to 20 years for manslaughter, and 10 years each for two counts of aggravated assault.
Nazyrian Goss has also pled guilty in connection to the shooting. Goss’s sentencing will take place in June. Idom and Goss along with Eleshawn Clark, Decameron Moore and Cameron Thompson were all charged in connection with the 2023 shooting, but Idom was also charged in connection with McMillan’s death.
The incident happened after words were exchanged between two groups, which McMillan was apart of the second group before shots rang out at the store.
