The 37th Annual drive through Nativity hosted by Flower Ridge Methodist Church will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., December 22 and 23. The story of Jesus' birth will unfold before visitor’s eyes as the Angels appear to tell the news to the world all while never leaving the car.
Viewers will see Mary and Joseph as they are told of the babe and as they are turned away by the inn keeper. The Angels tell of His birth, the Shepherds in awe of the Heavenly visit, the Wise Men as they travel to see Jesus, and finally, Mary and Joseph as they hold Jesus in their arms.
The drive through nativity began in 1982 after much discussion by Scarlet Clark-Shepherd and Rev. Steve Casteel. The pair picked out some of the key story boards and created scenes. It was then decided to line the entire drive of the church with lights to show the way through the scenes. Thousands look forward to this event each year and it is a wonderful way to enjoy the Christmas Season.
Admission is free. Flower Ridge Church is located at 4562 Highway 15 South in Louisville. For more information you may contact Beth Hemphill at 662-803-6621 or Bro. Keith Williams at 662-773-6910.
