Christmas Parades
The Mathiston and Maben Christmas Parades will be Friday.
The Mathiston parade starts at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Maben parade at 7:30 p.m. The theme is “All Hearts Come Home for Christmas.”
Forms are available at Mathiston City Hall (263-4898) and Maben City Hall (263-4212) or from Wayne Yeatman.
Crossway Church
live Nativity
Crossway Church will host an interactive live walk-thru Nativity, “Return to Bethlehem,” from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday and 5-8 p.m. Saturday. Large groups are encouraged to call ahead to schedule a time on these nights.
Experience the journey of Joseph and Mary through the village of Bethlehem complete with paying taxes and interactive activities in the marketplace.

Christmas sale
at Mathiston UMC
Come join us for our Christmas sale in the fellowship hall of Mathiston United Methodist Church on Hwy. 15.
Delicious homemade goodies and craft items will be for sale. This event will be from 8 a.m.-noon Saturday. Proceeds will go to United Methodist Women mission projects.
Lighting of
Edgeworth Cemetery
Lighting of the Cemetery at Edgeworth Baptist (3006 Edgeworth Road) will be at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
Luminarias will be furnished for the lighting ceremony, which will include special guest entertainment. Come join us in honoring your loved ones.
Eupora
Christmas Parade
The Eupora Christmas Parade is set for 6 p.m. Saturday. June Shaw, 100, will serve as grand marshal. The theme of the parade is “Meet Me Under the Mistletoe.”
The parade has no entry fee. First-, second- and third-place floats will receive cash awards from the Eupora Rotary Club, sponsor.
Entry forms are available at the Progress-Times and City Hall. Please return completed forms to either location by 5 p.m. Thursday. If any questions, call 258-3109.
Christmas arrange-
ment workshop
Join us from 1-3 p.m. Dec. 17 at the Webster County Extension Office for our Christmas wreath/arrangement workshop. There is no charge, however, you will need to bring your container and any embellishments or ribbon you might want.
The office is providing magnolia, cedar, pine and holly. Please call 258-3971 to register.
OES selling
Christmas cheese
Eupora Chapter #261 Order of the Eastern Star is now in the process of receiving orders for your Christmas cheese for the holiday season.
We will be taking orders for the yellow wrapped/mild cheddar, the red wrapped/sharp cheddar and the black wrapped/extra sharp vintage cheddar. The orders need to be placed no later than Dec. 19 by noon. We will have some on hand to sell individually after Dec. 19.
Each block of cheese is a 2-pound block and the cost is $12. Storytime is held each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Webster County Public Library in Eupora.
